During the pandemic, tourist destinations faced enormous challenges. The desire to travel was high, but hearts were hesitant to go. A tourist destination must implement CHSE (Cleanliness, Health, Safety, Environment) protocols well so visitors remain safe and comfortable.
Bukit Rhema — a tourist destination located not far from Borobudur Temple, in Desa Karangrejo, Gombong, Kembanglimus, Borobudur — has implemented health protocols thoroughly: temperature checks, mandatory hand washing before entering, mandatory mask wearing, and maintaining physical distance throughout the Bukit Rhema area.
Bukit Rhema became the destination of choice for Governor Ganjar Pranowo and his wife and child for their long weekend holiday. On October 31, 2020, Mr. Ganjar and his family visited Bukit Rhema for a family holiday. They toured all the spots at Bukit Rhema accompanied by a guide, following the tour route and listening to explanations from the guide.
After tiring from the tour, they naturally stopped by Kedai Bukit Rhema on the 2nd floor. There, the menu highly recommended by Mr. Ganjar was the coffee and the delicious fried cassava. They enjoyed the dishes while being treated to the beautiful panoramic view of the Menoreh Mountains surrounding Bukit Rhema.
Before leaving, Mr. Ganjar took time to capture the moment with a group photo in front of the Bukit Rhema building.
Bukit Rhema remains open daily 06:00–17:00 WIB. Entrance ticket: IDR 25,000 per person. Private Sunrise available via reservation.
