Not far from Borobudur Temple, in a quiet rural setting, stands Bethesda Rehabilitation Home — a ministry born from the same passion as Bukit Rhema: serve those who are outcast and heavy burdened.
Bukit Rhema believes that everyone deserves a second chance. That recovery is not just a medical matter — but a matter of heart, character, and faith.

Holistic Therapy Approach
When tourists started arriving at Bukit Rhema, there was one anxiety that emerged: the economic impact has not yet been fully felt by local residents. From this anxiety, a determination was born to become a bridge between tourism and the welfare of the surrounding community.
Bukit Rhema integrates local agricultural products into the culinary ecosystem — making every dish a real form of support for farmers and village women around Borobudur.
Through collaboration with Gombong Hamlet Latela Working Group, cassava which was previously only sold raw is now "upgraded" to Latela Cheese Cassava — a signature snack that takes the village's name to a wider level.
From 3 people involved at the beginning, now 16 families participating in the Bukit Rhema empowerment ecosystem, together with PKK mothers and increasingly productive farmer groups.
Since August 2025, Bukit Rhema has run Bukit Rhema Mengajar—a free English class for children from nearby villages.
This program was born from a simple belief: with better foreign language skills, children in the future will have broader opportunities and greater self-confidence — especially when dealing with hundreds of foreign tourists from 120 countries who come to Bukit Rhema every year.
Classes are held at Kedai Bukit Rhema meeting room, with teaching staff from graduates Bachelor of English Education (PBI) who came voluntarily.
Starts with 14 students, this program grew into 28 students in just a matter of weeks — even we ourselves didn't expect the enthusiasm to be this big.

At Bukit Rhema, religious differences are not a barrier — but rather a reason to respect each other and grow together.
As House of Prayer for All Nations, Bukit Rhema provides prayer space for various religions in the same area. Prayer room for Muslims, Chapel for Christians, Pondok Daud, and 12 private prayer rooms in the basement that are open to anyone.
Visitors from 120 countries and many religious and cultural backgrounds have experienced the same sense of peace at Bukit Rhema—because every nation is welcomed here with love.
